Wood bookend set of 2, featuring illustration of Lucy Burns, an American suffragist and women's rights advocate who was jailed six times for her activism. Lucy Burns worked with her close friend Alice Paul to form the National Woman's Party.
Includes our original Lucy Burns illustration on one bookend, paired with a second bookend featuring her popular quote, "It is unthinkable that a national government which represents women should ignore the issue of the right of all women to political freedom."
Two wood blocks, each sized 3.5” wide x 5” tall x 3.5” deep. Each weighs a little over 1 lb.
Image transferred by hand to wood. Due to the handmade nature of our art, all images will have a distressed look (where the underlying white paint shows through the image), with slight variations on the amount and location of distressing. By its nature, the wood we use for our bookends contains various knots and imperfections. Not all bookends will be perfectly flat on all sides.
Bookends are packaged together with ARCHd paper sleeve.
